We’ve been making custom tees for family and friends for a long time. We’ve been asked to sell them, but since our co-founder, Kelsey, insists on spending way too much time making each one unique, scaling production never made much sense. So instead of figuring out how to make a reasonably-priced tee, we set out to make an unreasonably-priced one.
So here we give you not just a made-to-order custom garment, but a way to support our residency program. It’s like a donation! Except it’s not tax deductible, and you get a really cool tee in exchange. The best of capitalism.
Each one is completely unique and might involve dyeing, embroidery, screen-printing, patches, your name!, puffy vinyl, or whatever else we get excited about. It will definitely say She Bends somewhere and will likely have references to our tools, noble gases, electricity or fire. We like working with dead-stock tees and shop shirts whenever we can.
There is a form that goes with this order to collect your size and a wish list of special decorations. We’ll treasure your requests, but ultimately, what arrives in the box will be a surprise! To us both.
Production usually takes 4–6 weeks. Sometimes it’s shorter. Sometimes it’s longer. Life.
All proceeds go toward supplementing our residency program. (Exactly how much depends on how crazy we get with the crafting.)
